TM is FOR people

October 6, 2006

Advances in technology mean losing people.  In the corporate world, automating business processes can be quite an achievement to management, as evidenced by the tangible monetary savings realized from the downsizing of human resources, upgrading of current technologies and what-have-yous.

Technology management isn’t just all about strategic technology planning, the management of technology research and development, techno-preneurship or the eventual commercialization of an innovation.  It includes, more importantly, the management of the often neglected human capital.

Handling employee loss and at the same time supporting radical management decisions is insanity at its finest, especially when you still tell the whole world that everything is going to be alright.

I don’t want to grow old professionally successful but emotionally numb.  Let’s make this TM blog then a venue for generating ideas that enable a complete fusion of Technology and Men.

Welcome mga bai!  Dayon mga higala!
